Job Summary:
A high-growth, multi-entity organization operating across both the insurance and real estate investment sectors is seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior Corporate Controller to lead its accounting and finance functions. This role will report directly to the executive leadership team and be responsible for driving financial reporting, compliance, internal controls, and operational efficiency across multiple businesses. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in financial leadership, process improvement, and multi-entity accounting, with a proven ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provide leadership over all accounting and finance operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and consolidated financial reporting.

Develop, implement, and oversee financial policies, procedures, and internal controls that ensure compliance, transparency, and accuracy.

Lead monthly and annual close processes, preparing consolidated financial statements and variance analysis.

Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury operations, including vendor management, collections, and banking relationships.

Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, audits, and industry-specific requirements.

Collaborate with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, investment evaluation, and profitability improvement initiatives.

Lead and mentor the accounting team, driving professional development and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

Identify and implement technology-driven process improvements to streamline financial operations and enhance reporting accuracy.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).

10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

Proven experience with consolidated and multi-entity financial reporting.

Strong knowledge of GAAP, regulatory compliance, and internal controls.

Demonstrated success implementing financial systems and improving processes.

Proficiency with ERP/accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).

Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Insurance, real estate, or investment industry background strongly preferred.
