Commercial Lines Account Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join a growing team. This role involves managing and servicing a designated book of commercial lines business, with a focus on middle to large market accounts in industries such as hospitality, commercial real estate, construction, and retail. This position offers a hybrid work environment, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week. Compensation Package

  • Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 (depending on experience)

Responsibilities

  • Manage and service a designated book of commercial lines business
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and proactive account management
  • Process policy changes, endorsements, certificates of insurance, renewals, and audits
  • Collaborate with producers to identify client needs and provide strategic insurance solutions
  • Work with carriers to obtain quotes, negotiate terms, and resolve billing or policy issues
  • Prepare proposals, review coverages, and assist clients with claims as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the agency management system
  • Ensure compliance with agency standards and industry regulations

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Licenses/Certifications: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license required
  • Experience: 2+ years in commercial insurance, with strong knowledge of coverages including General Liability, Property, Auto, Workers Compensation, Umbrella, and Professional Liability
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in AMS360 or similar agency management systems
  • Soft Skills:
    • Client-centered and service-oriented

    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
    • Engaging and able to build rapport with clients and team members
    • Politely assertive in negotiations and problem-solving
  • Work Tenure: A proven track record of consistent job tenure in previous roles is required.
