Q: What is Career Coaching? What does it mean to receive career coaching?
Melissa: It’s a tool for workers to utilize. [As a career coach,] we help job seekers learn how to do everything from conducting a targeted job search, preparing for an interview, and negotiating salaries to networking and successfully onboarding for their new jobs.
Q: Why would someone need Career Coaching? At what point in my career would someone need it?
Melissa: Career coaching is for everyone—workers of all levels. If you’re having a hard time finding a job, or not getting through interviews, then you may need assistance. We help target the issues you face and get you to the next level of your career.
Like with anything, we don’t always have the skills to get to where we want to be. Whether that’s because you haven’t practiced it enough or you’ve lost your direction, sometimes all we need is a helping hand. In the job market, that helping hand comes from career coaching.

Q: What does the process look like with The Jonus group? Is it an interactive process or just a lot of reading on the client’s end?
Melissa: It’s an interactive process; we provide modules to clients, then meet with them to explain things in further detail. We teach them specific topics during each meeting and provide additional resources they can utilize to understand what we taught them. Further, we also offer 24/7 email support outside of these meetings.
Q: What can someone get from an Individual Coaching session?
Melissa: [This session] offers ala cart services; [they] target specific topics that a client might need as opposed to the entirety of a career coaching package.
Q: What is the difference between the various career coaching packages The Jonus Group offers? Is one better for different parts of your career?
Melissa: The Fast-Track package pertains to those who already know what they want to do for their career move. The Career Tune-Up package is for those who have no idea what they want to do or are making a major career change. Lastly, our VIP package is for workers that have already landed a job and are looking for assistance with the difficulties that come with starting a new position.
